Who Are We?

The Columbia River Gorge Quilters’ Guild welcomes all traditional, modern, and art quilters of any age, from beginner to expert. We are dedicated to providing educational opportunities in quilt-making through programs and workshops offered each quarter at our meetings. We support the philanthropic endeavors of our members to benefit the community. In addition, we create exhibits, shows, and events that inspire others to discover quilting!

Each year, we organize an open quilt show in the Gorge that draws entries from around the Northwest, as well as showcasing the many talents of our members. We also promote public interest in quilting through exhibits in a variety of public spaces throughout the year.

Join us the third Saturday in February, May, August, and November. Meeting sites move each quarter to different venues along the Gorge in both Oregon and Washington. This allows us to bring local meetings to our members, and helps acquaint our members with other Gorge communities.

Retreats and Sewing Days

Sewing together fosters friendship, sharing, learning, and the exchange of ideas. Retreats and sewing days are perfect for members to get together, make new friends, and figure out new quilting techniques.

Come Be A Part Of The Fun!

Guild Meetings are held four times a year, on the third Saturday in February, May, August, and November. Meeting locations move around within the Gorge. Meetings are structured to provide fellowship, display quilt projects, learn of upcoming events, and participate in scheduled programs. Meetings begin at 10:00 am with a business meeting, followed by Show & Share when members share their recent projects, and ending with a presentation by our featured speaker. Guild meetings generally are followed by an optional afternoon half-day workshop by the featured speaker. Occasionally, all-day workshops will be offered on days other than the Guild meeting day. Our annual quilt show offers the opportunity to display your work, have it judged, shop at a vendor’s mall, and enjoy on-site demonstrations and instruction.
